Botulinum toxin can cause bruising, headache, unwanted weakness, and eyelid or brow drooping. Rare spread of toxin effect can cause serious problems. Get immediate medical help for trouble swallowing, speaking, or breathing. Treatment near the eyes can also cause dry eye or affect eyelid closure.
